Our Cottages

We trust that you will have a wonderful time staying in Harmonie Farm Cottage. We do not allow any smoking inside the cottage.
The cottage is pet-friendly with a wall around the cottage. Only small and medium dogs allowed.

The wall is only 800mm high, so dogs need to be controlled and prevented from roaming on the farm without the owner. You can take the dog(s) with you when walking on the farm, but the dog(s) need to be on a leash. You also need to pick up any deposits (poo) that your dog(s) are making. There is a scoop and a bin for this purpose. Please clean the scoop before leaving. No dogs allowed on the furniture. Make sure your dog is fine on arrival. A cleaning fee of R500 is payable if dog(s) vomit or poo on furniture or carpets. Any damages done by your dog will be paid by the owner of the dog e.g. chewing on furniture or dog basket.

The cottage can be cleaned every 3rd day free of charge, if requested. If you need the cottage to be serviced every day, a R120 service fee is payable to the service lady. Please arrange the service at least 2 days before arrival. Wood is available at R30 per bag. Please bring cash if needed.

There is a speed limit of 20km/h on the road between the cottage and the main gate. The reason for this speed limit is to keep the dust from the gravel road to a minimum. The dust is not good for the olive trees on both side of the road as it accumulates on the leaves. This dust layer on the leaves is the breeding media for a specific decease and/or mite.

Driving from Montagu:

You take the R318 road to the N1, which will show De Doorns and Touwsrivier. You start measuring distance when you pass the entrance to Montagu Golf Club. You drive for 18km on the tar road and will find a gate between grey walls on your right-hand side. You will read “Harmonie Farm Cottage” on the wall. You enter at this gate and follow the signs and road to the cottage.

Driving from the N1:

The R318 road starts at a turn-off on the N1 almost exactly between De Doorns and Touwsrivier.

The R318 turn-off is about 20km from De Doorns on the way to Touwsrivier and also 20km from Touwsrivier on the way to De Doorns. After taking the R318, you drive 58km on the R318 and will see a gate between grey walls on your left side. You will read “Harmonie Farm Cottage” on the wall. You enter at this gate and follow the signs and road to the cottage.
